The Ron Allen Project at Kayrod Gallery, September – October 2023
A few notes on how to navigate the tour. First, you will notice PURPLE circles on the walls, and WHITE circles on the floor (see arrows in the left-hand picture below). Hovering over the PURPLE circles will display the name of the art and artist; clicking on the WHITE circles will move your through the rooms of Kayrod Gallery and the Hannan Center. Second, only the “Last Church” video link in the Black Box Theatre is currently* operating, but we will send out “media notices” as new ones are added.
Third, to reach the Hannan Center’s basement Showcase and Black Box Theatre please follow these steps: 1) After you “ENTER” the 360 Tour, CLICK ON the same WHITE circle that’s indicated in the first picture below and you should see a hallway directly in front of you, as shown in the middle picture; 2) FOLLOW the hallway – by clicking on the white circles – until you get to the Emergency Exit; 3) TURN TO YOUR RIGHT (pic 3) and you will see an open doorway and stairwell; 4) FOLLOW the stairs into the basement and you will come to a hallway with handbills and pictures from Ron’s shows (including a great series of photos from “Entertainer Zero Machine”); 5a) to reach the Black Box Theatre, follow the hallway TO THE OPEN DOOR on the righthand wall and enter; 5b) to reach the Showcase, follow the hallway to the end and THROUGH THE DOUBLE DOORS, then jog to the right.
This initial “Tour360” platform is a bit, let us say, “temperamental”, so please be patient if you seem to skip past something and take the time to backtrack a little bit, as all of the exhibit is worth your consideration.
